Our Residential Treatment Programme

A Structured, Compassionate Approach to Addiction and Eating Disorder Recovery

Recovery begins the moment you feel safe enough to slow down, breathe, and be honest about what you’re going through. At Open Minds Rehab, our residential programme is designed specifically for people struggling with  addictions and eating disorders — conditions that require structure, therapeutic depth, and a supportive community of people on a similar path.

We are a small, specialist service. This means you’ll be surrounded by people who understand addiction, recovery, and the emotional patterns that come with them — creating a safe, grounded environment where real change can happen.

A Programme Built Around You (1–12 Weeks)

Every person arrives with a different history, pattern of use, and emotional landscape. That’s why our residential programme ranges from 1 to 12 weeks, depending on:

  • your addiction or eatingdisorder history
  • your emotional and psychological needs
  • your physical health
  • your goals for recovery
  • clinical recommendations

Some people need a short period of stabilisation.
Others need deeper therapeutic work.
We build a plan that genuinely fits you.

Our Therapeutic Philosophy

We work from the understanding that addiction and eating disorders are chronic, treatable health conditions — not moral failings, not a lack of willpower, and not something you should be expected to “fix” alone.

Our approach combines:

  • Evidencebased therapy
  • A diseasemodel understanding of addiction
  • A structured, supportive daily routine
  • Wellbeing practices
  • Life Skills
  • A calm, homely environment

Clients often tell us they feel “seen”, “safe”, and “finally able to breathe again” — because our focus is on connection, clarity, and meaningful therapeutic progress.

Who our Programme is for

Our residential programme is specifically designed for adults struggling with:

  • Alcohol addiction
  • Cocaine, ketamine, cannabis, or stimulant addiction
  • Prescription drug dependence
  • Eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating)

We are a specialist service for people who need structured, addictionfocused or eatingdisorderfocused treatment.

This ensures that everyone in the programme shares a similar journey, creating a safe, relatable, and supportive therapeutic community.

What your Days Look Like

Your daily structure is designed to help you feel grounded, supported, and emotionally regulated.

A typical day may include:

  • Morning checkin — grounding, reflection, emotional regulation
  • 1:1 therapy — deep, personalised therapeutic work
  • Group therapy — connection, honesty, and shared understanding
  • Holistic sessions — mindfulness, walking, swimming, breathwork
  • Life skills and recoveryfocused sessions
  • Rest periods — time to reflect and relax
  • Evening reflection — gentle, supportive end to the day

The structure is steady but not overwhelming.
Predictable but not rigid.
Supportive without pressure.

Your Environment: Calm, Private, and Supportive

Healing happens best in a space where you feel safe, respected, and able to breathe again.

At Open Minds, you’ll stay in a private ensuite bedroom, giving you the space and privacy you need to rest, reflect, and recover. Our setting is small, calm, and homely — intentionally designed to help you settle, slow down, and feel grounded.

You’ll have:

  • your own private room
  • peaceful communal spaces
  • access to outdoor areas
  • a supportive, nonjudgemental team available throughout the day

Clients often tell us the environment feels “safe”, “quiet”, and “like a reset for the nervous system”.

Family Support and Involvement

Addiction and eating disorders affect the whole family.
We offer:

  • family therapy
  • education and guidance
  • support for loved ones
  • help rebuilding communication and trust

Families often feel lost, frightened, or unsure how to help.
We support them too.

Aftercare and Ongoing Support

Recovery doesn’t end when you leave — it evolves.

Your aftercare plan may include:

  • weekly aftercare groups
  • ongoing therapy
  • community or peer support
  • relapseprevention strategies
  • emotional regulation tools
  • support for returning home or work
  • guidance for rebuilding routines and relationships

We help you create a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and sustainable.
